Reading recommendations or comments on these titles are always welcomed. If you've written a review of any of these books, leave a link, I'd love to read it and post the link here.
I haven't read any of the books on your list! Must do, soon. But there are 2 books I've read which have to do with art, both of which I have loved: Olga Grushin's The Dream life of Sukhanov and Debra Dean's The Madonnas of Leningrad.
ReplyDelete*Melanie. I just heard about Madonnas a couple of days ago and have it on reserve at my library. I am going to read it for another challenge, can't remember which but didn't know it involved art. I just love reading any novel about Leneingrad (especially the siege)as I was there once. I will look into the other one. Thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Portrait and The Flanders Panel. I got within about 100 pages or less of the end of The Dream of Scipio and quit. I just never got into it and eventually decided that I didn't care what happened. I rarely quit books so it was disappointing.
ReplyDeleteI did read The Lost Van Gogh and the Girl With a Pearl Earring and enjoyed them both.
