ReplyDeleteOf the ten, which is your favorite and why?
ReplyDelete*Susan: That is such a tough question. Five stars for me means a completely satisfying read. Several were that, but if forced to choose I'd have to say Through Black Spruce. This story takes place among Canada's Native community and is so compelling that everyone can relate to it.
ReplyDeleteThe title in the post is linked to a guest review of it done by another Canadian if it interests you. Thanks for asking.
Interesting. You seem to agree with the award-givers, for the most part, seeing as you really liked (or were "completely satisfied" by) almost all the books. So my question arises: Do you believe that these books justly deserved the awards they received?
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed - I've pretty much given up on this challenge.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the challenge!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look into Through Black Spruce...
Great job on this challenge - those sound like some really deep books - I was thinking of finishing mine with kids books - but still ran out of time!
