This is my first Cover Attraction post so I'm taking a small liberty and showing a copy cat cover. I had The Waiting Time by Sara Banerji (Transita 2007) on my desk after receiving it through Bookmooch when I saw a review of Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sijie (Anchor 2002). This is the first time I've ever remembered a copy cat cover and the book's title.
I'm partial to little red shoes as I used to dress my baby sisters in them when I was a girl. I have yet to read the books. I'm guessing they must be good.
Have you found any outstanding book covers this week?
Loved both the covers!
ReplyDeleteHere is my post
ok I like the first One! That one is a little brighter :) :)
ReplyDeleteThey look exactly the same, only the picture has been flipped.
ReplyDeleteI'm attracted to little red shoes too! I'm attracted to big red shoes, too, though.
ReplyDeletei like the second cover in this set best.

ReplyDeleteInteresting. I like the first one too. I just received my first cover for my debut novel releasing May 2010!
ReplyDeleteAh, the perils of using stock photographs...
ReplyDeleteI really like the two covers but I think the first one is slightly better. I don't know what the book is about but the covers would definitely convince me to reach out for it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finding these copycats! I also think I like the first one better, but both are attractive covers. It's just too bad the second one is a copycat!
